Creamy Avocado Dip

"Avocado" are considered to be one of the healthiest food on planet earth. This dark green fleshy fruit is packed with essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals , fiber, protein and several beneficial phytochemicals which protect against various diseases and illness.
Keeping in mind the health benefits and not ignoring the taste factor I have prepared this "Creamy Avocado Dip" which not only tastes good but is also a healthy substitute to the the cheese and mayo dips which are available off the shelves.
This is a very simple recipe with very few ingredients of which most of them are available at our homes. You can use this as  a dip with chips or as a healthy spread for sandwiches too. The leftover can be refrigerated in an air tight container and it stays well for 3-4 days.

Ingredients

Avocado - 1
Fresh coriander -1/2 cup
Garlic - 2 cloves
Pickled jalapeno - 5-6 slices
Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Fresh lime juice - 1 tablespoon
Salt to taste

Method

Cut the avocado lengthwise, to get two long halves, these are still connected in the middle by the seed. Hold both halves and twist them in opposite directions until they separate. Remove the seed and cut it into halves lengthwise, and scoop out the flesh. Alternatively you could also peal the skin as you would do for a banana.



 Place the scooped avocado,fresh green coriander, garlic cloves, jalapenos, lime juice, olive oil and add salt as per taste in a grinder. Grind to make a smooth paste.






Serve as a dip with chips or bread stick.

  2. I add a bit of tomatoes too to this same recipe.. A add a little bit of sweetness.
